Would you go to Rio for the olympics?
If money wasn't a factor, travel or time off wasn't a factor....would you go?
I personally wouldn't. I have no desire to go to the olympics right now. With all the terrorist attacks, rio being ground zero for zika and is also not a safe place with crimes/muggings, etc.

Being that body part washed up on the volleyball beach today, in additional to everything else (i.e. Zica), not a chance.

Because to be honest, all other safety and security and disease issues aside, i have no desire to watch the Olympics.
But personally, I think they should have picked a better city for it. I don't think Rio is the safest place to begin with and then add Zika to that and forget it.

Horrible choice of venue on behalf of the International Olympic Commission (IOC). Disproportionately high crime rate and Zika central. I just saw a few days ago that Jason Day (the #1 seeded golfer in the world) and Rory Mcllroy withdrew from this year's Olympics due to health concerns regarding Zika. I wouldn't be surprised if other athletes followed as it approaches.

If not for Zika, yes.
I wouldn't be surprised if more athletes withdraw because of Zika concerns as well.

I have no desire to go to the Olympics - don't get me wrong I love sports and sporting events, but the Olympics just sounds like a crowded mess to me.

Not to Rio. I have been to an Olympics before and it was a lot of fun, but there are too many issues going on in Brazil right now to make visiting for me a no go.

I love the Olympics and would go if I could. But, this is probably the city I'd be least excited about to go see the Olympics after hearing all the stories about what's goi g on down there.

I did not realize how bad Rio was till I just wantched one of the late night shows about Rio and the Olympics. No thank you.
Question, have they ever canacelled the Olympics? It appears nothing is built, the water is contaminated and athletes are dropping out.

I think a lot of the people dropping out because of Zika, are wealthy already and are nervous to say they are worried for their safety, kidnapping for ransom money etc, so they are just saying zika so they don't offend anyone in the country.

No. Other than having little interest in the Olympics itself, there's no way I would go anywhere with that crime and the zika virus, especially that I am pregnant.
