Need new car suggestion
I have a traverse. 2nd one. Love it. Looking for a cheaper option
Can you suggest a car with the following criteria?
AWD/4WD
Big trunk/cargo space. I do haul soil bags, mulch
Higher to the ground
Good pick up
Under $30k
Not against a bigger hatchback type or wagon.

Are those cheaper than the chevy?

Need new car suggestion
Honda CRV. I didn't love it at first, but for not a big car you'd be surprised how much it holds. It holds more cargo than my Subaru Outback. Pretty sure in that class of cars it holds the most cargo space. I lease but you can get it pretty well equipped for around 27.

I used to have a crv 10 years ago. I was considering the outback wagon. So good to know about the cargo space

CRV you can get the top model for under 30k, reputation is great. The over all cargo cubic feel is large.
If my budget allowed for it I would look at the Subaru forester. For service you need specialist mechanics I think.

I vote for the CRV as well. I've had mine for 7 years now and it's a great car and holds a ton! Currently in my trunk is a stroller, my husband's golf clubs and a pack n play (plus lots of crap!)

Take a look at both. Outback has more passenger space. Only reason I feel like CRV has more cargo is because of the height. I guess I might since CRV is a smaller vehicle you would be surprised that they have similar cargo space. If you need haul passengers too though the Outback is worth considering. I think the Outback is higher in price. I got special pricing on it through a discount program with my job. From what I've heard, they don't wiggle much on the price. Honda, you can definitely get a good deal.

Need new car suggestion
I like the Subaru Outback- there are definitely option in the 30k range. I priced the v6 model fully loaded and it was quoted around 34K. Check carfacts. I am waiting until we pay off my DHs car to buy a new car but will most likely go with the outback.
