Having curtains made

I need curtains/drapes for my den, but do not want to spend a fortune. I cannot find what I am looking for - I can find a fabric I like, but I don't like the top; or I find the exact look I am going for, but they don't come in the right color, etc. It's so frustrating! So, I was wondering, if I find fabric that I like, any idea about how much it would cost to have someone make it into curtains? And any recommendations for someone who can make them?

Thanks!

Try The Fabric Mill in Plainview. They do custom work.

Yes, they have beautiful fabrics, but just wondering if anyone knows about how much something like that would cost (not the cost of the fabric itself, but for the labor)

Some smaller fabric stores have people they can recommend to do what you are looking for. If you call them up, they can give you names.

There are Etsy vendors that make beautiful curtains, obviously all custom!

it really depends on the style/type and finishing of the curtains you want. A simple rod panel will be cheaper than a box pleat, you know? also, size of fabric, if you want a liner etc.

go in there and ask someone for a quote, pick a few fabrics as examples

This is what I did for my bedroom curtains. I think it cost all of $80 for the two windows and they came out really nice!
