Brand new 55 and over in NC
Does anyone know of any? My parents are looking to relocate. The prices of some we have looked at online are more $$ than I would think. They keep talking of the Raleigh area, but are open to other areas.

I know your asking about N.C. But My parents just moved to sun city in South Carolina by Hilton head. They love it. It's huge with so much to do. It would be worth checking out. My in laws live in Calabash N.C and they like it. It's way south on the border by myrtle beach. They don't live in a 55 and over community but there are a bunch in the area.

I second Sun City. When DH and I were down there scoping out areas for us we asked about our parents and this was the first place he showed us. Its RIGHT over the border- like 5 mins from Waxhaw and the benefit is the lower taxes for those over 55.

DH and I are thinking of Bluffton, also near Hilton Head.
I like that it is not too far from a major airport (Savannah about a 20 minute ride).
