I've had Dish for over 15 years. I love technology, and I've always like Dish. They are often the first ones to come up with new technologies. The signal is always good (relatively speaking). There have been numerous times when people on LIF complain that their cable connection went out, but my dish still works. Heavy rain or snow blocks the signal, but based on anecdotal evidence, it's on par with signal loss from cable.
I get local channels, all of the usual options, and their DVR system is awesome.
