Re: Flowers for centerpieces?

I made my own CP's for my DD's christening. I ordered from GlobalRose.com (if you check on FB they usually have a small % off for $120 or more). I ordered hydrangeas and pink roses, and vases from the dollar store... people were surprised that I made them myself.

ETA sorry pic won't post, put it in my album

I ordered from Costco for my goddaughter's communion. My experience with them was great.

I do have BJs and Costco memberships but I would like a little more variety than just 1 type of flower, but I will still check them out.

As long as you don't mind trimming the stems and arranging yourself then it's easy to do. I had them arrive on Friday (just put them open coolers filled with water until I was able to arrange them) for a Sunday event but truth be told I probably would have been fine to have them for an event the next day.

Yeah I'm pretty good at arranging flowers, thinking I will get 5 mixed pink bouquets and 50 extra bicolor roses...I have the mason jars to put them in too.

Flowers for centerpieces?

For my DD's communion I waited too long to order flowers from Costco like I had originally planned, and instead wound up picking up a variety of mixed bouquets from Trader Joe's and I put them in mason jars. So inexpensive, and they lasted 2 weeks!

Costco sells bouquets under bulk flowers I think you can choose by color and they send assorted flowers. Very beautiful, I've used 2x with no issues.

Re: Flowers for centerpieces?

Shoprite and Stop&Shop both have floral departments that now make centerpieces for parties. Someone I know used Stop&Shop and was pleased both with the quality and the price. Might be worth a call or visit.

King Kullen, every single time. My centerpieces come out GORGEOUS- I own my own vases/bowls/cubes and rocks and I just order roses and other flowers.
In my own experience, they always last longer than flowers from Costco or BJ's because you're not just picking what's out in the store- you get them the day they come in from the supplier. They always steer me toward better/fresher flowers.
If you're near valley stream, go see Corina Flores. She's beyond amazing

I have made my own centerpieces buying flowers from Trader Joe's and vases from the dollar store. They come out nice and are really inexpensive.

Re: Flowers for centerpieces?

I ordered flowers from fiftyflowers.com for my daughters communion. I ordered the "make your own flower centerpieces" for $99.00. I had enough flowers for 8 tables plus 2 more larger bouquets for the food tables. As long as you follow the directions you will have no problem. The flowers arrived on Thursday and they looked beautiful for the party on Saturday. They even lasted into the next week.
