Does this make sense?
I am chairing an event that will have a gold theme. If i write:
Dress code: She leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes...
Would you think it was stupid? or be confused?

Re: Does this make sense?
It depends on what you are trying to achieve:
Are you trying to get people to dress in gold? Or just wear something with some sparkle/glitter to it?

without knowing what else is written, I would be confused. And I wouldn't get that the theme was gold just from what you wrote - unless there is something else to indicate the theme, that might help

Does this make sense?
I would probably put the dress code (i.e. business attire, etc.) and then add phrase "with a little sparkle."

Re: Does this make sense?
I would think something sparkly/glittery but not specifically gold in color.

sparkly/glittery
So people aren't expected to wear gold right? In that case, I'd get it. Wear something with a little sparkle, sequin, glitter etc Not necessarily in gold though So if that is your goal, I'd add something about that.

why not just say "sparkly cocktail"? honestly i wouldn't get what it meant if the dress code had a cute saying.
