Looking for Daycare and OB by Waldwick, NJ

Ladies, we just had an offer accepted on a house and we are starting all the fun (not so fun) stuff. On top of all the house stuff, I am 3 months pregnant and have an almost 3 year old.

Sad to be leaving NY but excited for the next chapter in our lives. Can anyone recommend a daycare in Waldwick (pricing would help to) please? And an OB in the area that delivers at either Hackensack or Valley please?

I'm a little particular in what I am looking for...
OB:
1. All woman practice (please no males, I'm not comfortable with that)
2. Deals with PP Depression/Anxiety - Good Bedside Manner
3. Delivers at Hackensack or Valley - or both
4. Evening hours is a MUST

Daycare:
1. Early hours and late hours A MUST
2. School type atmosphere
3. Takes kids starting at 6 weeks old and has a Nursery School program
4. Licensed Daycare

Thank you ladies!

I live in west Milford, NJ. But I work in Mahwah which is about 10 mins from Waldwick. I can recommend my gyno and the private school I work at. Its starts from 6 weeks thru kindergarten. Were open from 7 to 630 pm. I'll fm you details, if you want. I'm a former queens /long island girl too, welcome to jersey. Chat Icon

Thank you so much twobabies and it's nice to hear someone else made the switch! Please send the information for the gyno, that would be GREAT! I really need a school that opens at 6:30AM or earlier (I work in construction and we start at 7AM), but thank you anyway! Good to know Mahwah is only 10 minutes from us, my cousin lives there.

I've heard great things about the Learning Experience in Waldwick - I have friends/family who use it and are happy with it (and I believe it opens at 6:30).

hi , we spoke on Facebook also. I've heard great things about rainbow corners and the little.school, which are both in Waldwick. also, a friend of mine has had a very positive experience at the learning experience in Allendale with both her children. I pmed you on Facebook regarding the doctor question. as you know, I had similar requirements and the only practice I found that met was the one I mentioned to you. However, I do know of some sole female practitioners who deliver out of Valley. try dr. Melanie Benham , 201 447 1620. also, if you want to be guaranteed a female there are some wonderful certified nurse midwives I could recommend too.

I am going to call the Learning Experience because they looked great on line. I just hope they give me pricing over the phone. Getting there is going to be a little difficult.

I sorta blocked out the FB experience when I asked about OBs because I asked for specific items and I was still given males or told that I won't get what I want and if overcrowded they double up people (which makes no sense - then it's not all single rooms). It was very frustrating when it was as if a lot of people didn't even read the whole post and just started answering what they wanted to.

I will look into the daycares, thank you. Again, hopefully I get answered over the phone since I cannot get there for pricing. Nothing against midwives but I'm looking for OBs, but thank you!

Valley does double up if they are crowded. It happened to my friend 21 mos ago when she had her third.

I have a friend about to deliver at HUMC - Pascack Valley (can't remember the new name). I believe all their rooms are private and she goes to Dr. Jean - who is in an all female practice. She is in Westwood and Montvale (near the Garden State Parkway).

There is also Dr. Fallon in Park Ridge - I believe she is in an all female practice as well (and delivers at Valley).

ETA - I'm not sure about evening hours. I delivered in Englewood at a great practice but, it wasn't all female.

re the learning experience, my friend was paying 3000 per month for a 4 month old and a 3 year old.

Oh, you might also want to consider Michelle Aristizal for an ob. I wanted to use her but she was booked solid. only thing is , I don't know what hospital she delivers out of, but she has a great website where you can find out more. I believe she had evening hours as well. eta: her website is wombkeepers.com
