Question about switching insurances and hospital stay
I will be switching insurances as of August 31. I am due to have my DD around July 21 and would like to use my current insurance for that, since it is a better insurance and we've been using it throughout my entire pregnancy. There is no way that switching insurances on the 31st could affect anything right? I don't want to end up with a huge bill if it takes the insurance company awhile to process it

Question about switching insurances and hospital stay
Whatever insurance you have on the date of service will cover you. Even if it takes them time to submit, it all goes by DOS

Question about switching insurances and hospital stay
My insurance switched over on September 1. I went in for an induction (medically necessary) on August 28. My daughter was born... September 1. So I was hit with 2 deductibles, one for before birth with the old insurance for just me, and one for both of us with the new insurance. The old insurance completely covered everything up to and including August 31, so you'll be fine!
