Have you ever used an Amex Gift Card online?
Can I use an Amex gift card to buy things online?
If I put the card number in as if it was an Amex card would it work?
I wasn't sure if I could do that.
Has anyone ever done it?

Re: Have you ever used an Amex Gift Card online?
As in, just enter the card number as if it was an Amex credit card?
There is usually not an option for Amex gift cards when paying

It just goes in as an Amex with the card number, security code, etc.

Re: Have you ever used an Amex Gift Card online?
It depends on the store I think. You can always call to check, but I remember trying to use it on the smashbox website and it wouldn't work. It was a year or two ago, so maybe its easier to use the card online now.

Exactly this! DH's firm gives out AMEX gift cards during the holidays and I used it just as a credit card for online shopping
