Preschools in or around East Islip?
We are moving soon and the preschool I sent my son to will be too far. Looking for recommendations for my 3 year old. Thanks!

I'm a Chatterbox alumna! They've been around awhile and I hear great things. Tiny Treasures in Great River is a daycare but they are wonderful. I also hear great things about South Shore Children's Center.

Probably not for everybody, but I've heard great things about the Little Peepers Preschool at the South Shore Nature Center.

Preschools in or around East Islip?
My dd has gone to st. Marys the past 2 years. (Nursery last yr and prek this year). It is cheap and the kids seem to love it. As a teacher myself I did not find it very structured academically. But overall we were happy. We are send my ds to Islip Community Nursery in September because he is only 2 and st. Marys doesn't start until 3. Islip Community only has half day programs but it seems great and I am excited for my son to start there

Thanks! I'm making myself sick over this! My MIL worked at the school my son went to so not knowing someone in whatever school we choose is a little unnerving!

South Shore Children's Center in Islip Terrace. It's actually attached to the East Islip school district's admin building. The staff is wonderful there and the price is super reasonable.

Re: Preschools in or around East Islip?
My son was 2 this past fall so we did Trinity Lutheran on Union in Islip. I really liked it, but they only offer 2.5 hr days.
But now I am pregnant again and I work so I'll need longer days for him, so now I am looking into St. Marys because they offer 5 days, 3 days..whatever you want from 8:15-2:15 plus aftercare if needed.
you cant beat the price - I need 3 days and it is $3652 for the year, and if I want to add aftercare, its only an additional $700 for the whole year.
I looked into chatterbox and even though I hear rave reviews, it was just too expensive.
I am going to call southshore childrens center, but if St. Marys is cheapest, thats most likely where we are going to go. We also only live a few blocks away too so its is very convenient for us.

My dd is 3 so they will probably be in the same class.

Yes, probably! I actually have to call today and see when I can go pick up all the paperwork. He will be full day M/W/F.
