Who else is Spring Cleaning?

Seriously, spent 5 hours cleaning JUST the kitchen today. Im doing a serious spring cleaning, like purging, organizing, pulling out the stove, the fridge, cleaning out the fridge, freezer, scrubbing every shelf, top of cabinets/fridge, windows, etc. I also purged the bedroom and our big walk in closet/pantry. I still have 3 BRs, the den, and the bathroom to actually clean. This si going to take FOREVER. SOOOO worth it but still. I actually threw out 7 bags of just stuff that we don't use from 2 rooms! I mean, my kitchen is SPARKLING right now and its amazing but ugh! Do you do a DEEP spring cleaning? If so, how do you go about it?

I clean every week and my house is always clean but good lord, I had no idea how long it would take to REALLY REALLY DEEP clean it.

I would but my dh is spackling so there is a layer of sheetrock in every room of my house. so insisting until that is done.

Me! Not cleaning , but purging. It's me favorite thing to do. Grab a garbage bag and just purge. I hate clutter!

I just read the life changing magic of typing up. I have multiple contractor bags filled with clothes for rummage. I also threw out a lot of stuff. I also painted my front door. My next project is to go through our books. If I said we have 1000 books I don't think I would be exaggerating, I love books, but I want to donate some. We have quite a few books.

Have not deep cleaned yet. Need to get rid of DH first because he just gets in my way while trying to help. He stops me like every 5 minutes to ask a question, come look at this, how do I do this. He's in every room instead of focusing on one task. He would also rather go out and do something, I understand he's retired and home all week while I still work. He forgets that weekends are my only time to get stuff done.
I did purge my closet and clothing storage bins, got rid of a lot of stuff that I had been hanging onto. Drawers are next, then I can move onto deep cleaning one room at a time.

I just did my windows and blinds and I have laundry going. I actually love cleaning!

I love to purge too. We just had a yard sale and I told DH nothing is coming back into this house. he managed to sneak things back in but most of it will be donated in two weeks. especially the THREE boxes of novels and textbooks I had! wow.

I was on a good steak a few weeks ago. Deep cleaned my fridge, some cabinets, and my pantry. Also did my closet and the kids' closet, medicine cabinets, etc. Two months of traveling and parties and it's barely noticeable! Hoping to spend some time tomorrow getting back on track during the rainy weather. Pinterest is always good for organizing ideas.

I did my spring cleaning back in March. Everything except Windows because We were going to have them professionally cleaned... Long story about that!!!
Purging is ongoing. 2-3x a year I purge. No rhyme or reason as to when. Just when I feel it needs to be done.

I NEED someone to come over and help me purge. I just cant do it. I have so much to get rid of but I just cant do it. HELP!!!

I have been for the past two weekends. Started as changing over seasonal clothing and has escalated.

I totally 100% understand exactly what you're saying!
I was in it all week, closets, windows, the crown molding, the tops of molding around the closets, everything. I could not believe the filth when I took apart the fridge drawers, shelves etc. I clean it at Christmsastime, too so it's 2x year, and I am in disbelief. I clean so much every day that I feel like "what for?" My son imitates me cleaning
God help me when we get to the garage on Saturday

I'm bummed it's gonna rain all day tomorrow, but I'm gonna use the day to go through a lot of stuff & hopefully throw out and put together a lot of things to donate!

I am so annoyed. On Friday I spent a few hours going through my daughters closet to sort out the size five and smaller size six clothing to give to a friend. I had mad a large pile of clothing and put it in the corner of dds room. On her chair I put other clothing I was unsure of and things I needed her to try on. We were away yesterday so I did not finish. Today my in laws and bil came over. As I was entertaining I really don't pay attention to where family members go inside of my home. My bil took it upon himself to take every article of clothing that I had set out and randomly put it all back inside of the closet. All of the work I did is for nothing. I am so angry.
