Recalled airbags
If your car was affected by the recalled airbags, are you still in a rental or has your car been repaired? I've been in a rental for a month. My honda dealership told me to call them back in june for more information.
My FIL's toyota dealership told him to bring it in that same weekend & his car was ready in 2 hours.

Recalled airbags
I picked up my rental on April 2 and still have it. I was thinking I'd give the dealership a call pretty soon to see if they can tell me when I can expect the airbag to be replaced. When I first got the rental, they told me it would be "sometime during the summer"

My boss had his Acura fixed about 3 weeks ago.
He had the rental for less than a month I think

I have an Acura. I got the rental on April 9th. My car was repaired on May 11th.

I'm curious what they tell you. When I called, they told me Honda will call me when it's in. Most likely 1st or 2nd week of june.

I got the letter, still waiting for a follow up letter to tell me the airbags are at the dealer. They are waiting for them to come in. This is Audi

Recalled airbags
The airbags are ordered by Vin number in the order in which customers received their rentals. The dealers also have to fix their inventory first (manufacturers requirement as they have to reimburse the dealers for floor plan charges and its cheaper to pay the rentals). At my dealer- we got a bunch in at one time- fixed our inventory- and called the first batch of customers. The problem is also that there are different airbags for each model so we could get 5 TL airbags one day and 5 RDX the next. Its very frustrating. I was put in my rental on 3/22 and still haven't had my car fixed yet.

I just got a call back and was told that new parts come in daily, but they won't know until each day's delivery what car (make/model/year) they are for, so there is no way to tell when the part for anyone's car will be in - until it arrives. So, basically, it's just a waiting game for now and they will call as soon as they have the part for my car.

I had no problem. I called made and appointment dropped off my pilot picked it up the next morning.

Theres 3 different versions of this recall- one that started in 14, 15 and now 16. Your vehicle most likely fell under the 14 or 15 recall and those airbags are kept stocked and ready to go.

Honda 2011 CRV. We opted not to get the rental because they wanted us to keep our car immobilized where we live (Bay Ridge Honda refused to take the car) until the parts came in IN JULY. We live at the beach, our car would be a mess if we left it sitting here.
We're driving the car.
