 Seeing spots
I have been seeing spots in my vision for about 2 weeks now. I slept with my contacts in about 2 weeks ago and I thought that was why I was seeing spots. I think its time to go to the doctor. I am just confused do I see an ophthalmologist or an optometrist?
  TIA!

 Re: Seeing spots
I see spots here and there and dont think much of them.
But if you are concerned I would go to an ophthamalogist

 Re: Seeing spots
Does it happen for a little while and then go away? It might be the aura of a migraine without the actual headache. My DH get these and he finds that he'll get them a bunch of time a couple of weeks in a row and then it wont happen again for months.

 Re: Seeing spots
No this spot has been there for 2 weeks. It doesn't go away. Sometimes its big and sometimes its small. But it is always there. I suffer from Atypical migrane so if it was a new aura my hand would be paralyzed and and I would have had a blind episode already.

 Re: Seeing spots
I would go and have it checked. I remember at an eye exam once, the doc asked me if that ever happened to me because she said if it did, it could mean there's a hole or a tear in my cornea or retina or something. SHe said it sometimes happens after childbirth due to strain while pushing.
AND on a much more serious case, my uncle had a problem with this and some more serious vision problems. After having it checked out, they determined he had the beginning stages of MS.
have it checked out. you'll feel better that you did.

My floaters appear like that some of the time. My best guess is that is what you may have. I would make a doctor's appt. to have it checked out. Let us know how it turns out.

 Re: Seeing spots
About 1 month ago I also started seeing "spots".... more like a white/gray spot in my right eye, blurring out whatever I was looking at in my central vision. To make a long story short, I was diagnosed with "White dot syndrome" which they say is very rare. It sounds like you might be experiencing what I have been experiencing. Good news is they say it clears up on its own. Good luck.... let us know what happens.

 Re: Seeing spots
If I remember correctly, didnt you post that you had migraines as well. These two can be connected. I get these quite often, and was diagnosed with complicated migraines?
