I fight with them just about every week for crappy service both phone and cable. I am pissed at them.

does anyone whoever had cablevision during those times qualify? I don't remember getting a letter and I am assuming I qualify?
what is a Set-Top Box? I just saw this now after submitting the claim.
also i think it sucks i cant get credit for the free service because i already subscribed to what they offered! it would have been a much better deal since i am paying $$ for the stuff they are offering for free

Yep have been a Cablevision customer since the 90's. I opted for the money back as I didn't want any of the other options.
Don't know what a set-top box is. I didn't see that on the claim.

There was an insert in your bill. They didn't send a separate letter (at least to me).
A set-top box is the receiver that you have on each television.
