Limo for 10 but only will take 8?
Has anyone heard this? A limo company I called is telling me that they will only take 8 people in a limo for 10 to a certain place. Why would that be?

I did and they told me they can only do 8 to that particular place. Makes no sense to me when other limo companies will do 10 in a limo to the same place.

I have heard this a lot before - they always say it's too tight with whatever the exact amount of passengers is. A 10 passenger comfortably seats 8, a 12 passenger comfortably seats 10, etc.

I get that but other companies are taking 10 in a 10 passenger so it can not be the location as they are claiming.

Yeah. Seems we are down to the wire now but there has to be someplace else to go. On top of it, the woman was very rude and nasty. In no way to speak with a customer who wants to give you money. SMH

I could almost guaranty it is because its a prom. It is what it is. They don;t want to allow 10 people then they are allowed since the cars only have absolute maxs due to safety regulations. The company can set their own lower if they want.

My SIL is a senior this year and when the called for the limos they asked about the girls dresses (if they were ballgown or straight). They said they be more comfortable in a 12 passenger and there is 10 of them.

I found a company that didn't even ask about anything when I said 10 people for a 10 passenger. I have heard different reasons but it would have been nice for this woman to tell me what their reasoning is and not just be rude.
