Would you send a gift? - baptism

My husband doesnt think we should.

They are our good friends. (My dh grew up with them, actually)

We hosted a large blessing for our daughter, and will probably do a smaller first birthday for just family. So these friends were at the blessing and of course gave a gift.

They are doing the opposite. A small baptism, which we were not invited to, and then will do a large first birthday.

My dh doesn't think a gift is necessary since we were not part of the party.

A baptism gift? No, not if you weren't invited to the party.

We have never given a baptism gift if we weren't invited. You'll get to make up for it at the birthday party.

No, not if you weren't invited. But I would give a very nice gift at the 1st birthday party.
