I love my minivan. Seriously so much space! I am able to jump to the back of the van when needed and move around freely. Last year I tried to give it up and get an suv but I loved the space so much. I would go for a suburban but it's not in the budget right now. Plus it's huge and a pain to park.
YES! We have 3 and my oldest loved to swing doors open I always had to be there to catch the door. Also amazing when someone parks close to you, the sliding door doesn't require much room to open, I have been in a tough crunch sometimes with the civic sedan. The sliding doors have been a lifesaver. The kids love pressing the button for the door to close.
We love the Oddessy. Especially the right side blind spot camera.

Honda Odyssey is the most car seat friendly minivan. The town & country (grand caravan) is the least car seat friendly minivan and the 3rd row outboard seats are unsafe unless there's a rear facing or high back booster.
