when will the IRS cash my check?
I mailed two checks last week, one to the state and one to the fed. for money owed on my taxes. Neither have been cashed yet, and I'm wondering how long they take to cash them. Do they wait until after April 15th?

No they usually cash them within 2 weeks. We only owed state. I mailed the first week of March and on my bank statement it shows that it was cashed 3/18

I send my returns in by certified mail to make sure they receive them. It usually takes about a week or two depending upon how close to April 15th you file. Once it is received I've noticed it can take another week to actually deposit the check
