Waterproof Camera?
We bought the Nikon Coolpix 4 years ago and still use it on all vacations. Takes great quality pics both under/out of water. Back then I spent $150 on it. I am sure they have newer/better models now.

Re: Waterproof Camera?
if you already have a point and shoot that you like, I would suggest just getting a case We got this one a few years ago and it was great! Fit our cannon perfectly and took great pictures while snorkeling, waterfall rappelling, white water rafting

Re: Waterproof Camera?
DH has the olympus tough - the thing is 7 years old and still takes amazing pictures in and out of the water. We've used it for lots of snorkeling and scuba trips with no problems.
I have the Nikon Coolpix AW110 and it takes slightly better pictures than the Olympus (it's also a lot newer) BUT the lens does seem to fog up sometimes - which is never an issue with the Olympus.

Waterproof Camera?
I just replaced my old olympus waterproof for the olympus tg-4. I like it. It's not as small as my old one and I was surprised the lens isn't covered- I'm sure my girls can scratch anything. I'm happy I bought another tough camera though. DD2 kept insisting on holding it and dropped it while I was holding her, and I also dropped it. I need tough electronics.
