WWYD teenagers "checking out" your house
So right now my parents are at my house helping us set up some stuff for the baby.
My mom just calls me and says that she was upstairs and was looking out the window. Two kids in a black car pass my house and one jumps out runs up the front of my stairs and looks in the window. My dog was sunbathing and the kid screams out theres a dog then runs back to the car and they drive away.
Usually we are not home during this time..no car in driveway.
WTF...should I call the cops?? Anyone experienced this? Thanks.

I would call the cops, that is really creepy.
ETA they won't be able to do anything but I guess I would just feel better about reporting it. Do you have a security system?

Yes we do have an alarm system. It wasn't on since my parents are home but we do put it on when we're gone.

I'd be so creeped out by that - I would definitely call the cops right away...maybe they will be able to find the car if these kids are checking out other homes in the area.

Call the cops and report. Hopefully if they get enough calls, they will keep an eye out.
And good thing for your dog!
Do you have a sign for your alarm company outside? If not - put it out.
alert your neighbors as well. If you are a part of your towns FB page, post it there too.

Thanks I called the cops. They are going to send a car to patrol but he said next time to call 911 right away.
Yes we do have a sign for the alarm company out front..the ballz on these kids.
I will let my neighbors know tonight when we get home

I would call the cops and get an alarm!! This is why EVERY window is alarmed on my house and I have cameras. People are nuts. I feel very safe in my neighborhood but you never know!!!

What alarm company do you have?
I have slomins and they do every door way br I paid additional for my daughters room. However if someone comes in via the bathroom I am screwed.

I would invest in security cameras asap. They are many cheap ones on the market and you can easily link them to an iphone app to record etc. I think it is worth the small investment.

wow the ballz!!
glad you reported. i wouldve also flipped out. i live in an apt but we keep a baseball bat handy. There have been terrace break ins.

Protect America. It's all wireless tiny sensors I have 15 Windows, 2 doors a motion sensor and cameras. I paid $100 set up and $59 monthly. I control everything from my phone. I also have the central monitor in my living room.
