Rehoboth beach
I have family that live there- it's very nice! I don't have any recommendations on where to stay, though

Re: Rehoboth beach
Its a fun day. we went 2 summers ago I think. There are nice hotels a few min away. I think we stayed at a Hampton inn or one of those chains.
lots to do on the boardwalk, beach is nice. it is metered parking on the streets down from the beach though. which is a pain in the ass.

Rehoboth beach
We use to have a summer home there. It's a really, really cute beach town. Perfect for families with young kids. There's ton to do between beach, pool, fishing, small amusement park on boardwalk (very reasonably priced rides and games you can actually win). Mini golf, outlet shopping, small water park with go carting, batting cages, etc. Ocean city is only 30-40 minute drive from Rehoboth as well. We use to do day trips.
We might be going the end of June. There are a few hotels within walking distance to boardwalk. Nothing extremely glamorous. And a few more a few miles from the beach. We'll probably rent a condo, it's about the same price. Book early of you decide to go! It's actually a pretty popular vacation town and their are not many accommodations.

We have a family beach house there and I love it! Try to go as often as possible! There are a bunch of hotels and condo's you can rent. Also, check homeaway.com you can rent something for a week at a better rate. Boardwalk has games & rides for kids. There is a waterpark that is fun. There is also a movie theatre and indoor bouncy house place in case you get a bad weather day.
I grew up summering here and have such great memories!! Walking the boardwalk and eating fries from a bucket or ice cream! Flying a kite on the beach. Lots of restaurants to choose from.
Also, dewey and betheny beach are close and you can do a day trip to oceanside Maryland or take the ferry over to Cape May, NJ. In Lewis there are also dolphin tours and boat trips daily.
