Our tub is broken. It does not drain. I am speculating that the lever the opens and shuts the drain has snapped??? My DH fiddled around with it and of course made it worse.

It is definitely not clogged. One day it worked fine the next not so much.

Who can fix this? Do I call a plumber or a contractor / handyman?

I would guss you can call a plumber but I am sure its going to cost money. if you really think its the lever for the drain you should be able to remove it and replace it your self. my DH has replaced ours more than once (different houses) himself.

How do you know its not clogged? Can you remove the drain grate and see if there is an obstruction? If the grate doesnt have screws holding it on, then grab something to twist it off.

Edit: I just fixed it. My DH is helpless hahaha. He's great at ALOT of things but the man can barely hang a shelf.

Wasn't clogged, was stopper issue. I think we need a new one.
