Lunch Places on 5th Ave

Hi Ladies,

I know there are a lot of you who work in the city and was looking for a good lunch place to take my mom for her birthday around 5th Ave around 55 -60th street. Thank you!

I always like La Bonne Soupe for lunch, on 55th between 5th and 6th. Salads, crepes, french onion soup - yum!!

Or are you looking for something fancier?

Quality Italian is on 6th Ave and 57th and then Quality Meats is just around the corner.

Nobu on 57th

The Modern on 53 btwn 5th & 6th - the bar room, to sit down is $$$$

Fig & Olive is a bit south, and hasn't had great reviews lately, but it's there . . .

Lunch in midtown is not super easy.

Above are all good suggestions. To add to them:
Papillon (54/Mad)
Fresco (52/Mad)
Alfredo (54/5)
Bill's Burger(50/5)
Rothmans (54/5)

Good list! I love la bonne soupe, love the modern or the modern bar room, quality meats is nice too. my absolute fav in the city for a special occasion is the lunch tasting at bouley but its not midtown. i recently took my mom and grandma there though and they looooved it
