Re: Recommend your coffee pot
I have a Mr. Coffee pot, everyone always loves my coffee (I don't drink coffee ) and they last forever. They are inexpensive too! I got a nice one for like $60-70 in Best Buy.

Get an electric percolator or a french press. They make delicious coffee even if it's cheap beans! I'll never go back to a keurig or a regular coffee pot again!

I agree (though I never had a Keurig; I find them wasteful) I have a French press that I use every day - it's from IKEA. It's durable and easy to clean and makes awesome coffee.

Funny I have a percolator and I use it everyday. Love it! But was wondering if I need a regular auto drip pot.

I have a Cusinart DCC-1200. it was highly rated at the time I got it. Primarily, that it has enough power and heats up enough to get the temp right to brew. I think it does a very good job. I do replace the charcoal filter every few months or so and run vinegar through the clean cycle ever few months.
I've done a french press and a pour over before too for a while, but this is more convenient. I also have a burr grinder to grind the beans right before making it.

My mom's GE from 1973 is still alive and kickin and perks the best coffee. However, she won't let me have it the old USA made Farberware ones work best, but broke down frequently since they're made in China . I currently have a Cuisinart-it's ok. The stove top percolator is our favorite and we always use it on weekends or when company comes over

It depends. If you're looking for a better tasting coffee I would switch beans and make sure you're doing the coarse grind. If it's for entertaining then you could always buy a carafe or 2. I was never a coffee snob but now i'll only drink it from home or a local shop by our house. Once you have good coffee it's hard to drink anything else. I don't buy anything special either. Mine are just beans from Meijer I grind there.

We have the electric percolator but the stove one for our cabin. It's so so good! It was my grandfathers and so old. There's just something about it! We went electric for home because we could make more and keep it warm.
