donating a star
Someone I know recently lost a baby at only 2 1/2 days old  We want to do something in the baby's name. Someone mentioned donating a star.
Has anyone done this? Which website do you recommend?

I'm sorry for your friends loss
We had a friend who had the same thing happened and we had a tree planted in Israel in the babies name, I'm not sure about a star but it is a nice idea

Wow… I'm so sorry to hear that.
I like planting a tree much better… The star idea is very sweet, but honestly it's kind of a scam… No one owns the galaxy and can permit the sale of a star, you know what I mean?

I know the problem with the tree is they are from Germany and living in CT but plan to go back so I don't think a tree is a good idea
I know they re kinda scams but in Germany you still see starts :) :(

What about a charitable donation in the baby's name? The star is nice but it does feel like a scam
There are some angel things/poems that could be printed nicely and given with the charity info. Check etsy.
So sorry for their loss

i like the star idea. true no one owns the sky, and i could never find the one i "own" as i'm horrible at coordinates, but i think just the sentiment behind it is beautiful. somewhere out there is a star named after their baby and all they have to do is look up to feel the love their child is sending from up above.
