Dh is at his desk already. Took a 535 train, ended up getting to work about 20 minutes late (he normally catches a 530 express that was cancelled)

Re: LIRR

I'm working from home. There is no service from Long Beach and there is no definite answer if trains are stopping at Lynbrook.
LIRR tweeted trains are not, but some people have said they are.

I'm working from home after waiting 30 minutes for a train that never came. No announcement either.

I decided to work from home. Got to the station and a RR employee told me the next train would be at least 40 mins and if its crowded they won't stop. SO basically I could wait for that train and then not be able to get on it.

We ended up driving in - left home at 7am, was in the city by 8am. I was very surprised, but didn't want to deal w/ issues on train especially since our line is not working and would have to go to other branches.

Re: LIRR

seems a lot of people stayed home today - the parking was VERY light. The trains were packed of course, but that was because there was only a few of them.

Supposedly tonights rush hour is 'normal' but they've been cancelling/combining a lot of trains.

hope the hempstead/long beach branches get back up to speed soon because its impeding the Babylon line as well!

I think all lines are running but it's no where near normal service. My train was late and then it's local now. Very few announcements.

I get not being normal service but the lack of info is what kills me.

Re: LIRR

My commute (main line) was normal this morning and I go to Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn where there wasn't even any service yesterday. So I was pleasantly surprised.

Yesterday, on the other hand, sucked - I had to take two subways from Woodside to get to my Brooklyn high school.

If it wasn't the day before the Regents I would have said eff this.
