People amaze me...
So i went to ShopRite today. It was pretty packed, I forgot about the snow coming. I had to park on the side of the building. Walking back to my car, parked in fromt of the store is a small SUV, 2 young children, not school aged, ALONE< UNATTENDED in the car. NO adult seemed to be standing watch or anything. I was actually amazed at the amount of people just walking by. I decided to head to the car, get my phone and put the kids in the car and pull behind the car and call the police. By the grace of God as I turned the corner to my car, a cop turned from behind the building next door. I waved him down and told him. When I left the store after loading my groceries and 2 kids in car seats, the cop was still sitting there waiting for an adult. Now even if this person went in for 1 item it would have been a minimum of 10 minutes with the lines inside. I can not believe people still do this. So many things could easily go wrong! What if someone hit the car, what if they were kidnapped, what if they had a medical emergency? Some people don't deserve kids!

People amaze me...
That upsets me. After hearing all those stories about kids being left in cars I don't understand how people can do that. Sure, it's annoying to lug them out of the car for 10 minutes but you are the adult. It's your job to take care of them.
Maybe it's just my kid but she gets freaked out if I'm not in the car within a minute or so of strapping her in.

What amazes me, is that EVEN IF you, as a parent, don't see any issue with leaving your kids in the car, and are not worried about the 100 different things that COULD happen .......(which I don't get how that's humanly possible, but whatever)
You're NOT worried about the inevitable person who's going to call the cops on you?

This makes my blood boil...what the hell is wrong with people. How can you be OK with leaving your kids in a car unattended even for 5 minutes. I feel sorry for those children to have such a heartless, careless parent.

If I had to guess, 2 and 4 maybe. They looked like my 2 boys ages.

I will never ever understand this. Maybe bc I'm too neurotic and expect the worse case scenario. If you can't take your kids in with you, you don't go in. Period. The end.
I just came from the supermarket with my 6 month old and 2 year old. Sure I was a hot mess in there, but they were with me and safe.

I totally agree about how parents shouldn't leave their LOs alone in the car under no circumstances, however I wouldn't say that parent shouldn't deserve to have kids, or he/she's a heartless parent that doesn't love his/her kids. I can only imagine how that parent might even gonna have to deal with cps, I feel badly for the parent and for the kids.

If someone thinks leaving children alone in a car in today's times is ok than they are stupid and do not deserve to be parents. No sane parent would even think to do this much less do it.

I can only kind of understand this in an extremely extenuating circumstance where the risk of leaving your kids in a locked car is less than whatever dramatic event is happening in that store. Odds are, this mom was not in that kind of situation and just wanted bread and milk.

If you do something illegal that puts your children in danger then you should not have children. Putting your child's life in danger for your convenience (shopping alone) is so ignorant, and straight up selfish. That woman does not deserve to have children.
Yes I am sure she loves them I am not taking that away from her but to be that selfish and ignorant to mind blowing.
She needs to face the consequences of doing something so stupid.

I am so glad you made sure the cop was aware. I would have called 911. I have a life hammer in my car and if it was summer nothing would give me more pleasure then to smash the windows in.
Sorry there is no excuse for you to actually go in the store and check out and leave kids in car. What if one out something in their mouth and was choking? Car hijacked and kids kidnapped. Or what if another car crashed into it???

Who knows if it was even a parent? Could have been a babysitter or something and the parents would have had no idea.
