4 month old and boogers
so i dont think my dd is sick, per se. but i dont want her to get sick.
she's been boogery since birth.
but these past few days she seems more congested in her nose and sneezing even in her sleep. it's not consistent all day. i have been using the snot sucker regularly for the past 2 days because im afraid if she keeps swallowing it, it will get her sick.
thoughts? experience?
i dont think a doc visit is necessary but not sure what to do.

It's winter. It's prob a cold. Not much you can do. If she's congested use Vicks rub on her feet, humidifier, saline and clear her nose.

what does the saline do?
Saline keeps their nose from doing out when your suction it and helps loosen the mucous. Is not medication so completely safe to use as often as you need. I definitely recommend that paired with the nose frida.

She won't get sick if she swallows boogers.
If she can't breathe, you can squirt saline in her nose & let it run out. This will clear out the snot.

I constantly used that sucker thing on my kids. They always had boogers and I will always taking them out of their nose as I hated seeing them lol.
It is normal, your child is most likely not sick.

thank you all! yes, i love the nosefrida!
i just was worrying because it's like a post nasal drip i think because she's 'choking' on it once in a while.
but ill just keep clearing it out. she doesnt hate me as much anymore when i do it lol

Yes I agree with all above -- that nosefrida thing is the best!!!! I used that with saline - I never just did the nosefrida alone. It really helped get whatever was up there OUT. And my ped told me not to worry, do it as often as i wanted and his words were: flood the child with saline! So I got the saline in the bottle and just poured it in. They kind of make a funny face and wiggle Bc it's odd feeling but it's great for them. That with Vicks and the vaporizer each night was amazing.
