Just got a call...
I was out, dh said the phone rang,and the caller I'd had his name and our phone number?? He didn't pick up though. How is that possible?

Just got a call...
It's call spoofing. You can google it. They have apps that do it, or you can sign up. It disguises the number or you can make it look like the call is coming from any number/name you choose.

The same thing has happened to me once or twice--no one was there. My good friend told me a story where her deceased father had "called" her mother on the year anniversary of his death a couple of months ago...of course, I didn't tell her this is not uncommon; it's a cool story nevertheless.

That happened to me once. It was my name coming up on the caller id but the number was all zeros.
I did not pick up. I never pick up a number if I don't know it was the scamming and phishing that goes on.

My office phone number was used to spoof. I work for a large corporate firm will all sorts of security in place. Head of security called me on my day off to inform me that the firm was getting hundreds of angry calls from people saying that my phone number had called them. Sure enough I called by voicemail and I had over a hundred messages of people threatening me. After 18 years with the company I had to change my number. There was concern that people had my name now from my voicemail before I had a chance to rerecord a message informing people of the situation. People were that mad.
