Wow I am super jealous of some of you right now and feeling really bitter towards my company! We get 5 days after six months and lose them at a year if we don't use them. First year we get 8 days for everything no sick no personal just 8 days that can not be carried over. After two years we get 10 days total and after three years we get 15 days total. That's it never increases can't carry anything over.. It sucks!

22 days total for me. I have been here 7 years.
1-5 years - 15 days
5-20 years - 20 days
2 Floating holidays are passed out at the beginning of each year.
We are allowed to roll over our PTO each year until we reach 400 hrs and at that time they pay them out, The 2 floaters do not roll over.
We also have the option to buy a full week each year.
DHs company just went to UNLIMITED this year!

You start with 20 as a new hire, then every year it increases by 1 up to your 7th year when you get 27 days, then I believe after a certain number of years longevity it goes up to 30 days. Plus 13 sick days & 12 paid holidays. The vacation & sick accruals roll over if I don't use them.
I used to be a teacher (and DH still is) so I'm always complaining I don't get enough time off but I know I actually have it pretty good compared to lots of other jobs.

30 days, no separate sick, vacation or personal. Every 5 years you get an extra anniversary day. We are allowed to roll over up to 8 days and get paid on up to 5 at the end of they year.

I work for a large ins company. Been here 8 years. I have 27 days of PTO this year.
Our policy:
New hires start out at 20 PTO days and increase to 3 days every 5th year (if you start in 2010 w 20 PTO days, by 2015, you automatically get 23 total PTO days). PTO includes sick and vacation days.
We also have the option of "buying" up to 6 PTO days every year and if they arent used, you can carry over up to 5 days to the following year (and must cash out the rest). We only close for the 7 major US holidays but do get the day after Thanksgiving off (i believe there are 2 "floater" days so we get a total of 9 company holiday this year).

My husband gets 3 weeks plus the week between Christmas and New Years off. He works from home so "sick time" isn't really an issue. The only time it could be an issue is if he has to travel. Personal days are kind of the same thing. He just started and this is a small start up company. He should be up to 5 weeks in the next two years or so.

We start off with 10 days.
At 7 years it goes to 15 days
at 15 years it goes to 16 days
3 sick days
1 floating holiday
I've been there 12 years.

I'm a teacher, and I get 10 days. We get paid out for them in July, or we can carry over 5 days that must be used the following year or we forfeit the days/payout
Dhs old company he got 5 weeks and bought a week
New company he gets 4 weeks

8 years. 23 days which include sick. 10 holidays this year.
I get 25 days at 10 years.
CaN carry over 10+ and all paid out if you leave company.
