My in laws get us both presents and the boys and spend more on my husband then me, then same with my parents they buy us all gifts spending more on me then him.

Dh parents give us both a check for bday (separately) anniversary and Chanukah. My mom didn't give either of anything due to her finances.

This! My parents go overboard and my ILs are the opposite. I guess it evens out. I don't really care. They don't forget about the kids on purpose, it is just their way.

My dad doesn't buy us anything. He is homebound from a stroke 17 years ago. He just tells me to spend "X" amount of money on ourselves.
My IL's give the kids a check each (gelt for Chanukah) and then a few other things, pi's, a book.
Funny story, my MIL HATES wrapping... 40 years ago she wrapped the top of a shirt box for DH's present and EVERY year since his present is in that box Forty years, he's gotten a shirt in that box.
They usually buy my SIL's and I the same thing, despite me having completely different taste from them. DH tries to tell them but they want to buy what they want. I just donate.

Same my MIL doesn't get anyone gifts.
My parents buy dh and I the same amount in gifts and go crazy on our kids.
My parents buy for both my brother and his wife equally as well.

They usually give DH a bunch of stuff and then give me a few things. I'd rather they didn't though. I have enough junky watches with interchangeable straps from HSN to last a lifetime. With them it's definitely quantity vs quality.

The last gift my in-laws got us was a tv. They did separate gifts for a while & then they did joint gifts, an then we just stopped exchanging gifts. They would never skip me & not DH. Even when we were dating they gave me something. They always insist on taking me out to dinner for my birthday too.
My mother is insane & in the past has given both DH & a sweater or something similar plus money and then a joint gift (like bath towels or bed sheets), plus joint money.

My parents get us each gifts and then a family gift (usually). His mom usually gives to the kids and then gives us a GC for a family friendly restaurant.

IL usually get both DH and I a stocking of dollar store stuff we will never use.
My mom usually buys DH and I both a thoughtful gift.
My father isn't big on gift giving. He usually just buys each of us a desk calendar. He asks us to pick it out and he will buy it.

Same with us too.
My dad gives my kids and us a ridiculous amount of presents.
DH's mom barely buys the kids anything and never gets us anything.

Dh's parents get gifts for us and the kids, and they are very generous.
My mom does not buy us gifts. She sure does expect one from us though. That's a topic for another day.

My MIL gave us each a gift before we had DD. Now she just buys for her. Last year my parents gave DH some cash and got me a coach wallet. This year, don't know.

DH gets $100 and I get, if I'm lucky a candle. I say if I'm lucky because if it's not a candle, it's some kind of crap most likely from her basement. Mind you both of my parents (divorced) spend the same on him and me.

My MIL usually spoils me on Christmas, and all year round. She also spoils DH. We're very close to it's not weird to me, although unnecessary! My parents are always very good to us for X-mas and they do good by DH too
