Are they any good for just a regular cut? I haven't been to one in years.

TIA

I wouldn't go but I've been using the same woman since I was six. I go to east neck cutters in west Babylon and they charge $20 for a regular cut. No wash or blow dry.

This is $12.99 for shampoo, conditioner, cut and blow dry.

You usually get what you pay for. If you want to try it, go for it. It grows back :)

True and I basically just need a trim so don't feel like paying $30 or more for that.

I guess if they are still in business they are ok lol

That's insanely cheap, I've never heard of a blow out for less than $20. Go for it and let us know how you like it

For a regular trim, it's fine. They are licensed. Would I do a drastic cut there? No. Only because I think many start out there. But a trim? Something basic? I have and will again.

Not true.

My girl works at a Lemon Tree...she does the most fabulous cut, full highlights, and glaze...the best I've ever had IN MY LIFE. And I have been getting my color professionally done for almost 20 years.

I've had horrible cuts/color at high end salons too. More expensive doesn't mean better quality Chat Icon

And the people here who know me IRL know how gorgeous my hair is Chat Icon

I didn't say that at all, you misconstrued my post. I encouraged the OP to try.

No I didn't misconstrue - just offering a different, valid opinion from someone who does utilize them and has had nothing but great experiences.

Never had experience with Lemon Tree but I have to concur with what you said about expensive not necessarily meaning good.
I used to go to the salon at Ulta and their prices just kept going up. And every.single.time I would walk out of there I was soooo unhappy with my hair.
It was either too dark, too light, never ever just right.
I felt bad though because the woman I used was super nice and I just didn't have the heart to "break up" with her. Chat Icon
But the final straw came when she overdid my highlights so bad that my hair was WHITE in a certain area and so brittle that it was crunching when I touched it and just started breaking off
Chat Icon
I finally got the nerve to just find someone else- who by the way was less than half the price out of a home salon and who literally saved my hair.
So its not always you get what you pay for, that is for SURE!

My mom use to bring us to Lemon Tree when we were kids! My Grandma still uses them. Honestly if it is just a trim, give it a shot!

I have had some HORRIBLE $150 haircuts in my life. Honestly, sometimes I wonder if some higher end salons higher based on talent or just because someone looks the part of a super trendy hair stylist. I think it's worth a shot. Their stylist and licensed and if you hate it, it's just a trim and will grow back quickly.

My hair is all one length, I wash it, and go in there for a trim. Works for me and is cheap!

I would never pay more than $20 for a hair cut. I said usually you get what you pay for, I never said the more expensive the better. Glad it worked out for you, OP. My hairdresser said this week is the busiest for her of the year, and w that price no wonder it was packed.

Re: Lemon Tree

Used to always get my haircut there. I only go once or twice a year and just get it all chopped off, with simple long layers and angles in the front. I have had amazing cuts and I have had terrible ones. I think it completely depends on the stylist, like any other salon.
