Um, when did this happen? Target in Commack has self check out?
Haven't been to that one in awhile- it used to be my go to, but now I usually go to the one by my house rather than at work.
I had to get last minute Christmas stuff today at lunch time (as usual!  ) and I was surprised to see like 4 self check out stands.
I used it and I was out so quickly! The store was pretty crowded but there was no wait for self.
And also, this makes me a little more happy than it should and says a lot about what kind of a life I have nowdays!

NOOOOOO.
I hate Target's self check out. It's always a pain in the arse entering my Cartwheel.
Also - the voices of those damn things are freaking annoying I find myself yelling at them, NO BITCHH I DON'T WANT TO BAG MY DONUTS!

I don't use cartwheel so I can't speak to that, but I did have a problem with something I scanned.
It was a tiny thing- A My Little Pony Blind Bag for DD's stocking- and I guess it weighs like nothing so it wasn't registering that I had bagged it.
I kept trying to slam it down in the bag, etc- but finally I realized I needed to hit the "I don't want to bag this" button.
What's the point of that?

They've had it for a few months now - but it is not open/available all the time. In fact, it seems to be closed more times than it's open, when I've been there.

They have it at one of the Targets near my house and it's horrible. They only have 1-2 regular lanes open otherwise (obviously not for Christmas) and it's just so frustrating!

I must have! I was in and out!
But self check out can be messy, yes.
They probably have to work out the kinks with the software.

I have by me and it's usually awful. Nothing scans. Cartwheel you can't really do. And last time I had to cancel my whole order, and start over at an cashier. It was awful lol

I've tried it before and you would think the thing would be equipped to scan cartwheel... No, of course not... You have to manually enter that long ass number. It's the most rediculous thing I've ever encountered.
