If you owned a small retail boutique. . .

that sold gift items, what hours would you be open this week?
If you were normally closed on Mondays, would you have opened yesterday?
Would you have extended hours today? Wednesday? Thursday? Or would you just keep your normal store hours?

ETA: If you would have extended hours, would it be in the morning, evening or both?

my aunt owns a retail boutique on Christopher street in NYC. she always has extended hours up until xmas eve.

I would expect even a small boutique if they were normally closed monday to at least have extended hours tues, wed of this week.

I think id have extended hours the two weeks before Christmas. Why wouldn't you, you know? Too much competition out there and you gotta be in it to win it!

And yeah I would be open on any days normally closed. I'd also spread it on Social Media, have a contest, run a promo.. Anything to get people in the door. It's hArd to compete over big box stores.

I used to work in a small gifts store and the week of christmas we closed late and wouldn't even lock the door until all the customers were helped so you never knew when you were going to leave.
