PTA Fundraisers - Holiday Season
What type of fundraisers does your PTA run around the holidays? Our school has several - wear pyjamas to school with special lunch etc...looking for more ideas -not book fairs as we have those.
Looking for something specific to the holiday season.
TIA

Re: PTA Fundraisers - Holiday Season
Do you charge the kids to wear pajamas?
We don't do anything to raise money for the PTA during this time of year but we do Toy Donations, last year I think we did Pajama collections, Sock donations...

Yes .kids paid $4 each to wear pyjamas and have breakfast for lunch at school.
We need some other type of fundraiser for this time of year.

We do a holiday boutique, and this year a tastefully simple fundraiser.

We use an outside fundraise company that provides us with all the stock.
It's all gifts for people so the kids can "shop" for their family. You receive a portion of whats sold back.

PTA Fundraisers - Holiday Season
Pancake breakfast..during the weekend they charge a few bucks per kid and adult and kids come dressed in PJs
ETA: We don't do this during the holiday season more like October but if you did you can have a Santa dressed up and do a meet Santa photo op along with the breakfast. Breakfast with Santa..something along those lines.

You go to their showroom and pick out the gifts and than they send it all in boxes to you. It's a lot of work. You have to count out every item, make sure nothing in broken, set it all up. It's not a big money maker but the kids love it.

Re: PTA Fundraisers - Holiday Season
Our largest fundraiser of the year is the read a thon. It is right before the holidays. Most families, including myself, hate buying overpriced items we don't want (gift wrap, baked goods, candy).
We also have movie night and restaurant nights.
Not exactly a fundraiser but we had a fun run last week. We requested donations for the needy for the entrance fee.
