Does anyone else have this cough that will not go away?
I have been sick since mid-November!  Now I have this awful cough that will no go away! I went on antibiotics before Thanksgiving and felt great for a few days and them wham! This cough! Anyone else? What are you taking?

Does anyone else have this cough that will not go away?
My DH and cant get rid of it either. I think its viral and needs to run its course. He wont "take care" of himself. He has to rest. Eat well, take it easy.

OMG yes me too! It's so frustrating. I don't feel sick at all except for this stupid cough!
I'm not taking anything, just trying to rest whenever I can and not overexert myself.

I think it is viral too.  And, I have no time to rest either. Hope he feels better soon!

My DS had this, it was awful! The nurse at school kept making me take him back to the doctor, but there was nothing to do about it. It finally ran its course, cough drops helped him so much though, so that might be worth trying!

Yes! We all had/have it. The dr gave me prescription cough medicine but ultimately he told me it's viral and will pas on its own eventually.

Does anyone else have this cough that will not go away?
Yes! I started the weekend leading to thanksgiving, was on a zpack, and OTC cough meds and I'm still coughing. I'm pregnant so I am miserable.
Oh and I'm 30w and my cervix is shorter than it should be and the coughing isn't helping as per my nurse.

Yes, but in my case it's my asthma & allergies acting up. It's been about 10 days now.

Yes - It was awful. 6 full weeks of it, and pregnant to boot. I had to have my lungs listened to every 3rd day. I was on a flexhaler (powder), nebulizer treatments 3X/day, mucinex, 2 rounds of antibiotics, a nasal spray, and what finally worked was when they finally gave me prednisone. I woke up a different person the day after I started them.

Same exact for me and same medications. I only started feeling better after the steroids.

A friend of my boyfriend's just had this, asked SO what to do. He was desperate. They work together and SO texted me asking what I had given him when he was sick once last year - Bc it worked like a charm.
Go to a good vitamin store. You want "IP-6"
Take a thousand mgs of that. Usually that's two vitamins depending on the dosage you get. Then, you are going to want to take one more before bed on the first day. Only the first day take two doses. Later, to maintain, it's just one dose a day.
It's a natural immune booster. When you take them you want to drink at least two big glasses of water with it. Then continue drinking as much water and tea as you can.
Try to limit sugary drinks all-together until better.
I told SO's coworker this and he came into work the next day like he had seen the face of Jesus LOL he was astounded. He's like I have felt like dog shit for weeks and finally I woke up like a good 90% better and then a day or so after that he felt 100% again.
Take the thousand mgs every single day to maintain. In the morning. I have been on this since August, I have not been sick once and everyone around me has. Coughs, colds, etc.
My brother's neurosurgeon is the one who told him about it and then me.
Not all vitamin stores have it and most of them look at you like huh?? Who?? When you ask LOL.

I would get it checked out. My son has this going on and we just got back from doc. He's has like board line pnemonia. The doc said many have been coming in with it. I have to watch him closely next few days. I wouldn't mess around with a lingering cough.

Yes, a month and half an still going! Driving me nuts! Was a bad post nasal drip but now it's just this dry, super annoying cough and I get winded easily. I really feel fine otherwise. Super annoying.

You may be having as asthmatic response,hence the getting winded easily. You may want to see a doctor. This is what happens to me all the time.

Yes, I agree. Get it checked out. I think following internet advice and using said advice such as natural immune boosters is a bit dangerous. That depends on how long your cough has been going on, however.

Yes, I've been twice. They are basically telling me I have to wait it out.
