I grew up in Wayne, actually not too far from the school (when it was known as William Paterson College). It was a big commuter school back then.
I think about a 1/3 of my high school classmates went there after graduation. I had a cousin who attended WPU and she seemed happy with the education she got there (she majored in Psychology).
I remember its teaching program having a really good reputation. I haven't lived in the area for about 20 years, so I don't know what its academic reputation is now. The campus is on the smaller side.
