Care Connect insurance
Anyone have this? Just wondering if it's a good insurance. The choices that we offered at my job were terrible.

Care Connect insurance
I have it and like it
It is NSLIJ only, there was recently a thread on this...my only problem was that I had to find all new doctors bc my old ones were affiliated with Winthrop only. I have the Gold Plan thru work

I don't mean to hijack but I am starting this insurance on 12/1. I have to find some new doctors, too. Do you know what the co-pay is for urgent care? I will have the gold plan, also.

Care Connect insurance
Co-pay is $50 at the urgent care BUT NSLIJ just opened a few so I think they are $30 now but not 100% sure
$50 was crazy to me so I found an internist and the copay is $30
For specialist it is $50

Care Connect insurance
I had started a post a few weeks ago on this. My husbands employer took this to replace Health Replublic. The problem is, we are in central Suffolk and there are only two hospitals both 15 miles away. There are also very few doctors who accept this near me.
I let him take the Care Connect with the kids, and I chose to go through my employer. Having a chronic condition, I did not want to travel that far for a doctor, let alone switch to entirely new ones.

This was my fear with the Care Connect since I have an illness and NSLIJ is about 20 mins from me. My old doctors gave me names of all my new doctors. I'm in Nassau though so there are tons by me. Overall I have liked the insurance.
