You didn't quote me but I wanted to say that if your (general your) first lay was both good in the sack AND the love of your life then, well, you're a lucky woman.
Because sometimes the first few desserts you try at the party are dry, stale, too soft, too hard, not big enough, too big, not sweet enough, etc....
Let me tell you something: the first cupcake I ever tried... I thought it was the best cupcake ever. Then, a few years later, when I had my second cupcake I realized how pathetic the first cupcake really was. I mean, that first cupcake was so bad, it shouldn't have been even calling itself a pastry... but I had no idea, because at that point in my life I had never had a cupcake before so I didn't really know what a good cupcake should feel, I mean, taste like!
P.S. This is not directed at anyone! Just a something JennP's comment made me think of!

I'm in the 2-5 category and I can honestly say I wish my number was higher. I wish I had more variety before settling down and only having one cupcake for the rest of my life.

this is exactly what happened to me! Looking back I can't believe I thought the first guy was good, but I was naive at the time. Im now in the 2-5 range, and I joke with DH it's one of the main reasons I married him

I've been with DH since 11th grade, we've always had great sex and it's only gotten better as the years have gone on so I have ZERO complaints in the  department. I honestly have never felt like I missed out or needed more partners, I feel like DH and I have always clicked perfectly and I've never desired to be with anyone else. I guess it just depends on the person but I've always felt content to be with just him my whole life. I really have no regrets that I didn't have more "cupcakes"..............I enjoy the one I have!!

I'm happy with my number. I'm in the double digits, but under 20. I wouldn't change a thing. I haven't really had a really bad partner either. Some were better than others, but nothing horrible.

Yep that is how I feel too AND just because it is the same person, it doesn't mean there is no variety. The longer you are with someone, the more you do with them and the more daring you are so you try many things. You also learn through the years what you like and don't like and I am glad I didn't have to go through a bunch of guys to just have sex when I was able to have sex and love.

I wish people didn't feel feel judged on how many partners they have had. Whether it's one or fifty, as long as you are happy with your decision it is wonderful.
I for one have had my bakery filled with many different flavors of cupcakes and I enjoyed every single one.

I don't think anyone feels judged, at least I didn't. I think everyone is just sharing their experiences whether it be with one or a fifty cupcakes. lol Honestly, who cares what people think, if you're happy and content that's all that matters.
