Halloween Costumes

My boyfriend's kids are begging him to dress up in his Marine Corps uniform from back in the day but there's no way he will do that  I know him! We are doing trick-or-treating with the kids during the day and we have a friend's party at night. I think I'm going as a SWAT team member because I was able to score some cool SWAT gear from my brother's friends at work since he's a SWAT officer. And with leggings and boots, it's easy! I'll have to get my boyfriend to do something because as of right now he said he is going as "a plain clothes police officer"  He's so clever, isn't he??
My son is going as a sailor from the US Navy since my dad and grandfathers were all Navy men. I even got a Seabee patch in honor of my grandfather and a Submarine patch for my dad!
Tried it on the other day -- so flipping cute.
My boyfriend's two sons are going as Spiderman LOL and a soldier from the Union Army of the Civil War talk about different!
My sister's fiance, he has two boys too (lots of testosterone going on!) and one is being a soldier in the US Army and the other is being a policeman like his daddy.
We are taking all the kids in a big group around my community. I'm so excited!!!

Halloween Costumes
He is too cute! I love that they mostly all want to be police or soldiers, that's so cool! I wish I could talk my son into being something normal. Right now (at least for the moment), he wants to be Link from the Legend of Zelda game. How lame. But he's 12 and not easily persuaded, lol.

It's funny because you think that the dad's would have persuaded them but they didn't. My boyfriend was a Marine, he's now a police officer (lieutenant) and my sister's fiance was in the Coast Guard and is now a police officer (Detective). And both their kids - they each have two boys, love learning about history, are really patriotic, and look up to the fact that they are police officers so much. Just naturally. It's really sweet. The only odd one out is Robert who wants to be Spiderman but that's just because he's a lady's man, at SIX years old lol, and all the girls in class think Spiderman is cool. That's where that came from SO funny.
Yeah, at twelve it is hard - that's a tough age because they are starting to get into that teenage mode where they are very independent. My nephew, my brother's son, is thirteen -- it's a combination of defiant and angst It's pretty funny sometimes. He's a great kid but yeah those pre-teen and teen years are HARD.

SO and i are going to a party the weekend before... we're going as charlie brown (he's bald) and lucy.
i'm really looking forward to it. it will be my first halloween dressing up in couple costumes. how lame am i?! lol

We are superheroes (mostly avengers). DH will be Hulk, I will be Thor, my 3 sons will be Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Capt. America.
Last year, we were yo gabba gabba. This is DH's favorite holiday!!!

Star Wars is big this year....It's everywhere.
So of course that's what DS wants to do.
DS will be Luke Skywalker, DH will Darth Vader and I'll be Princess Leia. I'm doing all DIY costumes so it's been fun...but a lot of work. Both DH & DS are complete, mine will be done tonight. We go to Boo at the Zoo every year and are going this weekend so I need to hurry!

Halloween Costumes
We are doing Avengers too! My youngest son is Captain America, My oldest son is Thor and my DD is black widow. DH is the Hulk and I haven't decided yet. Probably iron man
