Any work for Cablevision
A good friend of mine might be working for their sales department (in Woodbury, I think). Is it a good company to work for?

Any work for Cablevision
My husband does. He used to be full time via Cable. Now he works as an independent for them.
Through them they are wonderful. Very good benefits and free cable. Now, not so much. they are good to him but no benefits. No free cable. And no chance to really take him on full time again any time soon.

Supposedly they use very old tech. Not cutting edge at all. An employee's quote to me was "Cablevision is where IT folks come to die."

My sister work for them but in marketing. She got the job less than a year out of school and has been there 2 years. She will probably stay for a year or 2 and then find something better. She says its a good job, good benefits but for her right out of school it will be hard to move up since it is not a huge company and most people stay forever.

Any work for Cablevision
My husband works in sales but in lightpath (business side of cablevision). Good benefits, free cable, a really good amount of vacation time. He's been there about 10 years. But no one knows what's to come after they get taken over... We'll see the effects in a year or so

My DH works for Cablevision too... Free cable and decent benefits... We like the hours he works 12-9 bc it works for us and dd... We are unsure as to what the future will hold now that they got bought out.
