How incredibly sad. Many prayers for their families.
Another senseless act of gun violence and nothing will be done about it. It makes me so angry that so many innocent people die by guns in this country and nothing changes.
Gun laws do very little for the criminal element. The criminals will get guns, period. Most gun laws keep the law abiding citizens that are allowed to get guns from getting them legally.
I am ALL for sensible and smart gun laws for everyone. ALL for it. And doing something about the senseless killing. ALL killings. We also need mental health services beefed up. We NEED to address the problem on MANY fronts.
My money on why this happened(personally) is on a gang member initiation. Its a pure guess.
This guy was not a criminal as far as I can tell from what I've read.

He shot himself..... why couldn't he do that first, instead of shooting the other three people....
He's still alive..in critical condition.

Feels like a daily news story about being taken out of this life.
I have been 'seizing the day' so to speak more and more. Every day has meaning. May not be a tomorrow. I ride the A train daily, it's always a crapshoot. There are a lot of disgruntled fired employees from my job, some i've fired. There's only one way in or out of my building from the street. I think about it daily.

This is what is so distributing. Gun violence is so common now. We have to live our daily life in fear. We have to worry about lunatics obtaining guns and if they get mad shooting anyone they feel like. The sickness I feel over sending my child to kindergarten this year keeps me up at night. I do everything to keep her safe yet I'm going to send her to school and pray that for 6 hours a nut job doesn't try to harm innocent school children. It's such a sick sick world. 26 children and teachers were murdered in a school and nothing was done to stop it from happening again. So many killed in a movie theartes, work place murders, cops being shot on the streets. And nothing changes. There is something very wrong with our laws and our thinking here in America. It's heartbreaking and scary!
