Going to visit my new baby neice in the hospital - what to bring?
My brother's wife gave birth last night to a beautiful baby girl  DH, DS, and I are going to visit them this afternoon. We'd like to bring something for mommy (and possibly daddy) with us. They've gotten a million things for the baby already and I'm sure they could use a little pick me up for themselves. Any suggestions?

when I visit babies in hospitals I will either bring clothes (unless I know they have tons already) or diapers and wipes (because you can never have too many of these) AND a gift card for a restaurant by them so they can just order food in one day rather than worry about having to cook something.

I would bring food too. When my cousin had her baby last year, all her DH and her wanted were cheeseburgers from the local diner. Maybe some sandwiches and a fruit salad or cookies.

My mother in law brought me bath and body works which, at the time, I thought was a little strange. However, she bought me an extra set to use later on so around my son's first bday I used it and the scent brought back such great memories for me. I really appreciated the gift at that point. I actually bought myself a different scent for DS2.

Aww! Congratulations to your family! I agree with the others, food/GC to local restaurant are awesome gifts for new parents, or already parents with a newborn.

When my best friend gave birth in December, I brought her an Alex and Ani bracelet with a December birthstone.
