Terminal 5
Anyone ever been to a concert there? My teenage daughter wants to see someone there and I'm wondering what its like? Is it bar like or club like?

But terminal 5 is very small and intimate. Like Irving plaza or the paramount. It's like a bar/lounge with concerts.

Terminal 5
Club settings but with concerts. Open in the middle and multiple floors you can watch from. Not my favorite place

It's a former nightclub, total club setting. Larger than Irving, a couple of floors. There are couches upstairs so if you are going with her but don't want to hang downstairs, you can pop a squat upstairs.
I hate the place because the acoustics are horrible. It's my least favorite venue for a show and I've been to pretty much every venue!

This. DH went once and refuses to ever go back. We've skipped some of our favorite artists just because it was at Terminal 5.

I will only go there again if PJ plays there. And even then, it'll be against my better judgement!
I passed up on Soundgarden there and opted to see them elsewhere. They're one of my favorite bands, right up there with PJ and I was like "nope, I'll just be pissed off when I leave"

that's me after every general admission concert lately. If this keeps up, I'm going to get DH into a fight!

We do the same. We see Terminal 5 and then see what other show is closest and goto that one. Driving to Philly and going to TLA is 100% better than going to Terminal 5.

Secretly hoping it sells out before I can get tickets. SHHHHH.

Maybe you could see if the band is playing in NJ or CT on the Saturday before?

At TLA? (Theatre of the Living Arts)
If you want to be Mom of the year, it's not a bad drive. Since it ends late at night the drive is only 2-3 hours to LI.

to add to the awfulness of that venue - NOTHING else is in the area. So its not like you can go somewhere else for a bit while she's in there.
If you don't care about the acoustics (i'm assuming you dont' care about seeing whomever she wants to see), then i'd hang out upstairs at the bar/sticky seats for the duration.
It's a crappy venue overall, sorry!
