ugh! rain Sunday!

We are having a pool party Sunday for DS's birthday. Can't change it so hoping doesn't hit us, but might have a ton of people in the house. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I know it could be worse, but just need to vent.

And it can change.
We have had so many pool parties where rain was called for, or it even rained that morning and then it cleared before people arrived.
We even had one pool party where it rained but everyone still went in the pool- because, hey, you're wet anyway! It was actually fun!

My only issue with the pool right now is it's still FREEZING!
Is yours swimable?

DH put in a heater last weekend. We spent a bunch on a new heater and pump and pool is 90 now. People better go in. LOL!

I heard the same - so disappointed because my nephew's class is supposed to sing the National Anthem at the Duck's game. Here's hoping the forecast is wrong!

We have a heater too but it takes FOREVER to heat the damn thing. When we opened it it was 58 degrees! And then the nights get so cold and we lose all the heat we worked so hard to get in the day
Living in the NE suckssssss!

It's been real hot here so it helps to keep the temp. We got en electric heat pump and new pump that's supposed to be sooo much more efficient to run so that helped. DH set it at 86 and keep it there so this way since it's reached temp it hasn't been on. We also cut down a ton of trees that had shade on the pool so now it's all sun.
This is pretty much our summer vaca money and for the rest of the year. LOL! Our backyard will be our vacation for the summer. Chat Icon

That's how I spent memorial day weekend!
DH actually built us an outdoor kitchen/bar last year and I am LOVING sitting at my own backyard bar!
