Considering buying one....
Did your electric bill increase significantly? I am sure many factors come into play, but just wanted to get a general idea of potential monthly increase we'd be looking at.
Also, where was yours purchased and do you recommend a particular store, make and model?

Ours ran us about $1.75-$2.00 a day to run. This was with a gas line to heat it and only electricity to run it. We had it filtering for 20 minutes every few hours or so to keep it clean.
Worth every penny if you ask me. My DH and I enjoyed it so much (we have since sold the house).
Good luck!

I personally don't have one but my in laws do and say it honest cost that much more at all....
I also use to work for Hot Shots in farming dale. They sell dynasty and the few years i worked there never had a problem with their tubs but heard horror stories from customers on other types of tubes. If you go in till them Danielle sent you. They will take care of you.

You will definitely pay more electric in the winter as it has to work harder to keep the water hot in the cold weather. Maybe an extra $50-75 a month? Electric usage in the summer is minimal.
Go with a "name brand" to get the best energy efficiency. Marquis and Hot Springs are probably the top two brands. You get what you pay for because these two brands will have the best insulation and most energy efficient motors and parts.
Do extensive research on poolandspa.com forums.
Also treat hot tubs like buying a car. There is MSRP pricing and there is negotiability. There are also "model years".
I have a Marquis Epic that I bought from GPM in Farmingdale. Excellent spa.
