I worry about someone crashing into my side fence too. Last month DH was cleaning up the backyard when he heard something crash around 5:30. Some girl drive up on the curb and hit the telephone pole. He ran around the side and she was crying and backed up and took off. The guy behind us ran out too like wtf!! Im assuming testimg has somethikg to do wirh it sometimes. My kids play over there on the side!

Cars hitting houses
On Christmas we were driving to Calverton drunk driver came peeling out of no where. Didn't hit any cars but took out two fences, a tree and almost a house. Guy dragged the tree for quite a while before the destroyed tires stopped him. Dh and I folLowed him as we were on thr phone with the police the whole time.
My bf lives on the service road and has had her front porch taken out 3X.
My friends was a manager at McDonald's and I remember getting a call when we were in our teens because an old woman lost control and drove through the front of the building.

Re: Cars hitting houses
This morning I'm leaving to take Julian to daycare and I see that a neighbor of mine in the condo community I live in took out his entire garage door... Must have hit gas instead of brake? Whole door is crunched in and destroyed. I need to snap a pic later. SO weird though bc of this thread. Had to have happened within the last 24 hrs.

Re: Cars hitting houses
And another reason- besides being drunk, obviously, is speed. People drive WAY too fast. It's like a race track every morning and evening on my commute.
Riding up your ass, swerving in and out of lanes to get one car length ahead.
It's MADDENING>
And when you are driving that fast you lose control very quickly. Scary.
