Mad Men Finale (Spoilers)
Can't believe this is the end.
Totally teared up when Don and Betty were on the phone.

Yay Peggy and Joan. This would be amazing!
Eta: I'm so in love with Peggy and Stan. I knew they were going to be together.

Mad Men Finale (Spoilers)
Even though I found the last two seasons to be a little boring, I can't believe its the end. I'm sad about Betty but happy they didn't end it with her funeral. It was great to see Stan and Peggy together, I have been rooting for them for awhile now. I also loved the way they wrapped it up with Joan. Sad to see it go.

Re: Mad Men Finale (Spoilers)
I can't believe it's over. I cried for much of it. Betty and Don the phone was heart breaking. I was in tears over Joan and Rodger too. I love how the ended it for everyone except for Don. I'm so happy you got to see Peggy be vulnerable. I loved that Joan did her own thing. I hate that open ended end. I'm going to miss this show!

Re: Mad Men Finale (Spoilers)
Don did Coke. At least that's what I got out of it! I thought it was fantastic. I cried through most of it as well.
Eta: as in, he went back to NY. To be loved, give love.
Eta again: I keep thinking about the finale and now I think he stayed at the commune and for some reason it pisses me off.

No he went back to NY and created that coke commercial.

I agree - that he went back and created one of the most iconic commercials of all time after being enlightened on the commune. As much as I am sad that the show is over, I think each character was "wrapped up" very well

I loved the finale. I think they wrapped it all up well, even with Don. It was interesting. I can't believe it's all over, I hate when shows end forever.

Re: Mad Men Finale (Spoilers)
I liked how most of the characters ended, but i thought Don's ending was the weakest of all of them.
Leaving him on the commune, and then showing the Coke commercial.. i would have preferred it to be a little more 'obvious' as to what happened. Was he changed by his experience at the commune at all? Did he go back to NY and stay the same old womanizer Don? Did he make the Coke commercial as an homage to his experience there, or was it as a cynical ad man knowing it would strike a chord with people?
I just wish they'd followed through with his end a little more. It was too vague

I havent seen it yet (but i love spoilers haha) but I think one of the overall themes in mad men is that people never change.

He went back to NY and did the commercial. The girl in the commercial is a dead ringer for the girl that was at the retreat front desk. Also the "ding" after the meditation leads right to the commercial, which is like a bell going off in his head.

Yes, and in real life McCann agency produced that coke ad. Coke was the big one Don always wanted. He tried to change, but just couldn't in the end. I didn't get it instantaneously like DH did, but once I did - it made me happy. Loved Joan and Peggy, roger and Maria - ok, smh at Betty smoking at the end, glad to see Pete with his family I'm super happy I didn't have to see Meghan. I couldn't stand her. Lol.

Mad Men Finale (Spoilers)
I agree with pp that he had a lightbulb moment and came up with the idea for that coke commercial. That not to say that he didnt find happiness, or change his ways. We dont know that. The story doesnt end bc the show did, ya know? I love how Peggy gets the best of both worlds in the end. The career, and a man who truly accepts her for who she is to support her. He even stood behind her in that last scene -- which to me was the perfect "i have your back" moment. The convo between Don and Birdie was so hard to watch. And Don giving that man a hug during the circle talk -- wow. So powerful. Don never looked better to me than when he was this vulnerable. I love how we saw the men being in touch with their feelings (in a very closeted 1960- 1970's world) and the women ending up powerful, on top, having it all.

Re: Mad Men Finale (Spoilers)
I loved all the random typewriter noises at the end... gave me chills and made me want to watch it all from the beginning where that was non-stop
