Was thinking maybe 6 weeks? Is that the norm?

how far in advance to send baptism invites?

I'm sending ours out this week, which would be 10+ weeks out. Summer weekends are very busy, so if you want people to be able to attend, I would recommend sending them out earlier than 6 weeks. I have plans made for the end of the summer already.

how far in advance to send baptism invites?

Wow, I could never get away sending out invites with just 4-6 weeks before the event. No one would be able to make it!

I guess in my family people tend to not RSVP right away and forget about the invite after a while. So that's why I usually do it 5-6 weeks ahead. And I still have to chase RSVP's, its quite annoying!

I do 4-6 weeks in advance as well. Close family usually knows about the date way before invites go out so they keep their calendars clear.

For example, my niece is being christened at the end of June and invites have not gone out yet, but I have known about the date since early April. My other niece is being christened in August and we all got a text to save the date last night.

Text message to all as soon as the event has been planned then invites out 4 weeks prior. The text I feel is the most impt as it's summer and I don't know about you but every weekend is booked till Sept

I'm doing 6 weeks for a july 18th baptism. If people can't make it's less that I need to spend on food Chat Icon

I get that... I guess we're just such planners in our family and circle of friends, that we plan things out weeks and weeks in advance. I like to make sure I give our invites (especially those we really want there) a lot of time. 6 weeks in our family is right around the corner, lol, but I get that for others 6 weeks is a long time.
